Hobrafilt® - Depth filter sheets
The Filter Layers are depth filters composed of stable substances capable of retaining, from cloudy liquids, the polluting microparticles within the myriad interspaces.
The two specific external surfaces well marked identify the inlet and outlet of the liquids when mounted in the filter press plates.
Filtration mechanism
The Filter Layers and their usefulness are due, in general, to the development of three identifying filtration mechanisms.
- Superficial: with the mechanical retention of large particles contained in the turbidity of liquids.
- Electrostatic adsorption: outlined by the light molecular interactions of the constituents of the layers with the solutions to be clarified.
- Electrokinetic adsorption: developed by the positive charge of the substances contained in the layer towards negatively charged microorganisms/viruses allowing the capture of infinitesimal particles.
HOBRAFILT filter sheets are delivered in the format 20x20, 40x40 and 60x61,4 cm. Based on customer requirements are also supplied other dimensions, such as circular or sheets with various holes, etc.
